Yaesu FT-8100 was in the car but I’ve now replaced it with an Icom 2820 D-Star radio
and lots of other random stuff.

Often not to be heard, just listening. Though a radio renaissance finds me on GB3CR on my way to from the office each day and I did work Sweden on 20m over the weekend so who knows.

First licenced 1995 having taken my Class B RAE exam with the Wirral Amateur Radio Society and been in, out and around the hobby ever since. The good old days saw regular participation in 2m DF hunts on a Sunday morning with a CW ‘Fox Box’ often to be found buried. A whole array of home brew ‘sniffers’ etc became the mainstay until work forced a move away from the Wirral.

Glad to say I’ve since moved back to the Wirral and radio based activities are gradually gathering speed. Sharing an office with a GW4 and a G6 has also helped…!

Hopefully as I find more time I’ll add some radio based pages of interest to the section.

Don’t forget to visit the website of the Wirral and District Amateur Radio Club, the link can be found on the right hand side of this page.
